Moving Forward.  Embracing Change. Forming Partnerships

Adrienne Relyea, Executive Director

"Local businesses teaming up to promote and protect their interests and those of their home community — that’s the definition of a chamber of commerce. They have an important role to play." Crowley, P. (2017, October 4) The Chamber is Saranac Lake's business hub [Editorial]. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise. The opening paragraph in the October Adirondack Daily Enterprise editorial summed it up well. I would would like to formally thank the Adirondack Daily Enterprise for the editorial. I would also like to thank the entire membership, board of directors and the Saranac Lake area community for being so welcoming in my first few months in this position.

The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Board of directors and I are working very hard to bring more services to our members. We have a full year booked of the 5:01 Connect Series networking opportunities (see below), our new Green Side of Business series, a new membership services website, and various community events that we will be both headlining and supporting in the year to come.

Needless to say, both myself and the Board are very excited for the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce to once again become the Hub of business in our area. Thank you to our members for being on this journey with us.

Cassandra Hopkins is our Welcome Center Representative in Harrietstown Town Hall. She is ready to connect with the community as well as make Saranac Lake a place that visitors want to return to again. Cassandra graduated last May from Clarkson University where she spent four years studying political science, including one semester spent in Saranac Lake for the University's Adirondack Semester. Since coming to Potsdam she has made the North Country her home and is happy to finally live full time in Saranac Lake. When she is not working, Cassandra enjoys spending time outside exploring the region canoeing, hiking, and going on walks with her puppy, Lila. Cassandra is looking forward to being a part of more Chamber events and working to make sure the Chamber fulfills its role in the Saranac Lake community.
